Weekly rehearsals are on Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. (access after 5:30) at Val Phillips Memorial High School in Madison. Enter the building through the Athletic Center off the parking lot just north of the school (other side of school from West Towne Mall). Take the first hallway to the right. Take the next hallway to the right. Turn left at the next hallway and then the first right and the band room is straight ahead. Rehearsals will be cancelled whenever school and evening extra curricular activities are cancelled by the Madison Metropolitan School District.
Because of the growth of the band and the stability of our finances, the Board of Directors has authorized us to begin purchasing our own music, which can cost anywhere from $70 to well over $100 per piece. As we begin the process, we also continue to make grateful use of the Ward-Brodt's New Horizons Band library and the privately owned music of our director.
If you need to leave the band for any reason, it is your responsibility to return all music in your possession. The cost of replacing music is very high. Music copyright law does not allow us to make photocopies of music that is lost or not returned.
