Dane County New Horizons Music, Inc. (DCNHM) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides an entry point for aspiring adult musicians, a re-entry opportunity for individuals who have been exposed to playing in a band during their school days and those who have been continuous players.
To effectively carry out our mission, DCNHM requires funds to support the educational activities necessary to develop and maintain an ensemble. Unlike for-profit supported New Horizons bands, DCNHM returns all fees back to the ensemble to support its programs, building on its successes, and maintain low costs to participants.
Our Fall Quarter is September 5th through November 21st and includes 11 two-hour rehearsals and a concert. The cost is $108 if paid by September 5th or two payments of $60 (September 5th & October 3rd). A second person living at the same address is $60 with payment due by September 5th.
As a non-profit, we can accept donations, apply for grant money, and develop a partnership relationship with individuals and businesses. These are all sources of untaxed funds that can help keep participant fees as low as possible.
Our board wishes to maintain transparency of budgeting and costs of the band and share the information with band members. If you have any questions about DCNHM's finances, please speak with our Financial Secretary.
